L. Frank Baum

Lyman Frank Baum was born in New York, U.S on May 15, 1856, and died on May 6, 1919. His resting place is Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Glendale. He was an American Author and newspaper editor. He wrote many poetry and short stories including his best-selling novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. Married with Maud Gage, He was born in devout Methodist family. There is eighteen novels in the series of Oz, some are best sellers. Some other books are Queen Zixi of Ix, John Dough and the Cherub and The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus. His short story “They Played a New Hamlet” is published on April 28, 1895.
