Shot Summary

A woman Hester Prynne found guilty of adultery and punished in front of a crowd, And they forced to were A, “A” stand for adulteress for ashamed her. She stands in front of the public for three hours and many women in crowd angered on her and her beauty. She saw in the crowd there is a man she recognized that he is her husband. When her husband seen her he asks a man in the crowd about her adultery story. When she came in church and  John Wilson and the minister in the Church Ask about her love but she refused. When she come back to jail a physician comes and ask about her past and marriage. Hester refuses all the charges about her past. After releasing from jail Hester starts living in the cottage on the edge of the city. The story covers the woman problems in society.

Nathaniel Hawthorne

He was an American novelist and short story writer. Born on July 4, 1804, in Massachusetts US, Education from Bowdoin College in 1821. His notable work The House of the Seven Gables, Twice-Told Tales and The Scarlet Letter. He also worked as editor of American Magazine of Useful and Entertaining Knowledge. Some of his short stories are Grandfather’s Chair, The Snow-Image, and Other Twice-Told Tales and Tanglewood Tales.
