Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela was a South African anti-apartheid revolutionary and politician. He was also former President of South Africa from 1994 to 1999. He was first black head of the state. His political party was African National Congress. He was also known for Anti-Apartheid Movement. He was born in village of Mvezo in Umtata. In childhood he was known by his name Madiba. His great-grandfather was a king of Thembu. On 5 August 1962 he arrested by police and some of his other member near Howick The they transfer to the jail prison on Robben Island. The politicians priors are place in the Section B. The cell where Mandela lived is 7 feet high and 7 feet length. The black prisoner are harassed by white policeman. In 1982 he was transferred to Pollsmoor Prison in Tokai, Cape Town. He won awards Sakharov Prize (1988), Nobel Peace Prize (1993), Order of Lenin and Presidential Medal of Freedom.
