The writer of this novel is WG Sebald, academic, and a novelist. This novel contains a story of individual spiritual lapse, becomes an allegory for Europe’s drenched past. Sebald sensibly examines the tricks of time and space, exposing Europe as an inanimate competition. He writes with an anomalous clarity that even an agonizing account of his section ironically becomes a celebration of his own entirely clearly unblockable expertise. The novel is a serious accusation of modern Europe’s ”avoidance system”.

The main character of the novel is Jacques Austerlitz he is a refugee from Czechoslovakia. The novel tells the life story of his history. In Czechoslovakia, his family is threatened by Hitler’s Nazis. Then a woman adapts him and spend his time in  Bala, Gwynedd. Austerlitz visited Prague to meet his close friend Vera. He takes care of Jacquot.

Winfried Georg Sebald He is also known as W.G. Sebald or Max Sebald, He was a German writer. He died at the age of 57. His parent’s names are Rosa and Georg Sebald. His bestsellers novels are Vertigo, The Emigrants, The Rings of Saturn and Austerlitz.
