Story of Novel:
The story surrounds life of an orphan girl named Jane Eyer. The most unlikely thing about her character is her stubbornness and daring character. This powerful portrait of a girl’s character is unique to the other female novel characters of that time. Therefore when it was first published, the women authors were indeed frowned upon.
Jane Eyre is shown to be a penniless orphan with nearly zero physical charm .She fights against miserable time at a boarding school for orphans. She later grows up to become a teacher in same school and also becomes a governess to a proud man named Mr. Rochester who is holding some secret.
The main focus of the story is the gradual unfolding of the character of Jane and her spiritual sensibility. The events narrated in novel are colored by heightened intensity which was previously only attributed to poetry. Therefore this classic piece of literature has the honor of revolutionizing English literature and is a novel ahead of its time.
