Abraham Cahan was a Jewish-American socialist.Born in Podberezhie in Belarus on 7 July 1860. He was also a newspaper editor and politician. Abraham’s grandfather was the rabbi in Vidz. His first novel is Yekl: A Tale of the New York Ghetto. Abraham’s stories are published in many famous magazines. His most famous novel is The Rise of David Levinsky.
He died of heart attack on August 31, 1951, at age of 91.
